RoH
History - By Kalypse Part 2
July was when the trouble started. Due to lack of people
playing, and many other reasons, we started to drift
apart for the first time. Even I disented myself,
wondering if we had a point for going on and how much
longer we would last. There was a lack or good servers by
this time also which also contributed to our problems. So
through the month of July we slowly fell apart until we
had about 4 people left still playing at the end of July.
WaveX left the clan for a brief time because of all our
problems. Unknown to anyone in our clan, HHH was hurt and
unable to get to his computer for what would turn out to
be about a month. Damage_Inc who had been playing Kingpin
came back just about the end of July in an attempt to fix
things but it was too late. For about 2 days our clan was
in utter chaos. Havok and The Man had left for the LL
clan. Just a few days before this, VertigO left the AC
clan and was "free agent". We pursued getting
him at first, but couldn't at first. When our trouble hit
an all time high, he came to our aid and brought us back
together. WaveX and VertigO came up with a plan to save
the clan from falling apart completely. Our deal that was
work out was that everyone that was a current member of
RoH would come back, but VertigO would be the new leader
of the clan. Another condition was it was either everyone
comes back or noone, so we were able to get everyone to
return. This reunion worked, but things were not ok.
HaDeS, the leader before VertigO, was never notified of
the conditions. So he thought he was still leader and
VertigO thought he was leader and this would ultimately
bring us down a second time. HaDeS had to go on vacation
for 3 weeks though so this delayed things. So with
VertigO as leader and HaDeS out of town for a while, we
proceeded to rebuild RoH. Just when we were about to have
a match with AA, they broke up. Frasse and sLOWMOTiON
were the first from them to join us. Bitchass, Beavis and
Neb also joined us. Ash, a guy that I personally don't
know a lot about, also joined us right around this time.
And about 5-10 days later we added Scorpion and Aftermath.
Rookie, who has a server, joined us about this time as
well. He would provide us with many hours of gaming with
his servers. Pit Viper joined RoH around this time also.
WaveX also returned to our clan after being out of it for
a few weeks. Our clan was very big now, and we were often
around, but it would also become a big problem. Some more
of our problems started here with people leaving and
returning to the clan a few days later. Bitchass left the
clan for a few days and then was voted back in by a
majority of the clan. The Man became the negotiator of
many clan matches during this time but we had more
players than would ever compete in one match. We devised
a system for picking players to play during matches but
it was not the best it the world and it would become
another thing to argue over later. Things went well
overall through August though. I wrote the current RoH
rules that are still in effect now. We played clan
matches with NBK and DEF1 with varied success because of
lag and lack of following rules. HaDeS came back from
vacation around late August. Around August 28 we played a
match to determine who was the best player in our clan.
Havok defeated Scarab in a close match. Frasse showed up
a bit late to the match and VertigO who was running him
wouldnt let him play in it because it was already started.
A day or two later Frasse left the clan and joined LL
under the name HypeRSpeeD. This is probly what caused my
distrust with Rogue of LL for taking Frasse in what was a
bad situation. This situation would also lead to my
eventual disapproval of VertigO way of running the clan.
I shouldnt have blamed either anyone for the problems in
this case but I did and it would effect the future of the
clan. About a week later Frasse returned to us after
telling us he was very unhappy in LL. Finally in early
September things started exploding. HaDeS versus VertigO
would never go down, but it was close at times. They
argued over clan leadership and both said things they
probly shouldn't have. Unfortunatly I was brainwashed by
this and HaDeS ended up quiting the clan. I stood with
VertigO side because I thought he was right at the time.
He probably was right too, but when I took a stance on
it, things just seemed to get worse. To add insult to
injury, VertigO added OFRG to the clan only hours after
HaDeS left. When HaDeS left, we decided to change the
name of the clan. First we picked AoD which was supposed
to be Army of Darkness, but we quickly found out it was
taken. Then we chose SiR which stood for Soldiers in Rage.
In about the middle of September, I talked with Frasse
again and he wanted to rejoin the clan. I was all for it,
as was Damage_Inc. I wanted to just let Frasse back into
the clan with now vote because I knew he was a good guy
and him leaving was a mistake. VertigO said he might not
even let him back with the vote. Frasse was let back in
with the condition that noone else that leaves would ever
be allowed back in. This was a major back breaker for me.
The whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth and for
about 3 weeks I was considering leaving the clan myself.
Things remained unchanged though. HHH finally came back
after a long abscence and the way he was dealt with by
some of the other clan members upset me a lot. He
rejoined us, then left for a week or so. Things had
majorly changed since he had last seen the clan. We
continued having clan matches throughout this time but
things were not getting any better. In my opinion of the
whole situation, a select few individuals were
controlling the whole clan and my words had come to mean
nothing to them. Damage_Inc stood by my side, but we had
no effect on changing anything. Everything we had built
came crashing down at the end of September. A clan match,
a thing we had wanted so much in August to insure the
future of the clan, broke the camels back. After a bad
match, where I lost my patience with a newer clan,
VertigO stepped down as leader because there was too much
aggrivation. All the top guys in the clan were exhausted
by now. I was also very tired, but I saw an opening to
take the leadership so I could rebuild. I won support as
new leader and took over the role the next night. In my
first clan match as leader we won. This was far from the
end of the problems though. Within a few hours, all hell
would break loose.
