The Situation as it is now. (november 2000)

I things are now somewhat better than a couple of months ago, since there are now less people cheating. But that doesnt mean things are well in the lands of turok2. Fewer and fewer people are playing now and there are even people leaving this game after they've been playing since the beginning. (i.e. Icekiller)

After many months i decided to bug some people at acclaim. (went for their icq nr's haha) But after some talks with someone at acclaim it proved again that they are unwilling to do anything for the good of Turok2.

The clan situation is in my opinion not a good thing. There are few (if any) clans that are extremely active. There are now more newbie's playing this game than ever i think and thats always a good thing. (right?) Since newbies can be ,after some practice, skilled turok players=). A clan fight is a rare thing now although i noticed DTC being verry active in that subject now.

I've been playing this game for around a year now and i dont see really that much changes in it. When i started playing last november every server had something with f*ck acclaim in it. and nobody stopped swearing at them since. The lag is still there and the community is still there. The only difference is the absence of certain players and the activity of players in general. But people still play and thats the main point. As long as people play this game there's still activity and that means we are still very much ALIVE!.

It would be nice to have a level editor of some sort though. (like most current games have) I've send acclaim many mail about that subject but of course no response from them. This really bugs me out because its only fair to us ,the dedicated turok fans, who have all bought this game in the stores (right?!) to be rewarded by acclaim. Instead we get ignored.

Well this has turned out to be more of an acclaim bashing article but thats okay.
